You know something needs to change. Let's work out what.
Life coaching in Edinburgh for when you feel stuck, want something different, or don't know what's next.
Maybe your life looks good from the outside. And yet, something doesn't feel quite right.
Perhaps you've been thinking about changing your career, moving abroad, leaving a relationship, starting something you've always wanted to do, or simply creating a life that feels more like yours.
You know you want something to change. You just don't know where to start.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
In person in Edinburgh or online.
Coaching nook in Bruntsfield.
Does this sound familiar?
You might be at a point where you keep asking yourself:
What do I actually want?
Is this really the life I want?
Why do I feel stuck when I know I want something different?
What would I do if I wasn't so worried about getting it wrong?
Why do I keep putting this off?
Is it too late to make a change?
Maybe you have a dream you've been carrying around for years.
Maybe you're facing a big decision.
Maybe you've achieved many of the things you thought would make you happy, but something is still missing.
Or maybe you simply have a feeling that there's more you want from your life.
If you're functioning perfectly well but can't seem to move forward, you don't need to wait until everything falls apart before asking yourself what you want.
One of the things that can keep us stuck is thinking we need to have the answer before we can start.
You don't.
You can come to coaching with a clear goal.
Or with a vague feeling that something isn't right.
Or with a dream that feels exciting and terrifying at the same time.
We'll start there.
Together, we'll explore what's important to you, what you want to change, what's getting in the way and what might be possible.
You don't need to know exactly what you want
What can we work on together?
Life changes
You're at a turning point and aren't sure what the next chapter should look like.
Career
Your career no longer feels right, you're considering a change, or you're wondering what else you could do.
Big decisions
You're weighing up different options and going round in circles trying to work out what to do.
There's something you've wanted to do for years, but you haven't found a way to make it happen.
Dreams and ambitions
Relationships
You're questioning what you want from a relationship, or what you want your life to look like.
You know what you want, but fear, doubt, habits or simply not knowing where to start are keeping you from taking action.
Getting unstuck
“A space to grow, to learn how to shape your own life, and to be kind to yourself. A chance to discover your own strengths – something nobody else teaches you how to do.”
— Coraline, business owner, Hamburg.
How coaching can help
Get clear on what you want
Sometimes we spend so much time thinking about what we should want that we lose sight of what we actually want.
We'll explore your values, needs, ambitions and the vision you have for your life.
Understand what's holding you back
We'll look at the thoughts, assumptions, fears and patterns that might be keeping you stuck.
Not to judge them. To understand them.
See things differently
I'll ask questions and challenge your thinking.
Sometimes one different perspective can completely change the way you see a situation.
Clarity is important. But ultimately, you want something to change.
We'll work out what you can actually do next and find steps that feel realistic for you.
Turn thinking into action
“Amandine is a warm and supportive coach who helped me achieve my goals, while providing insights into how to define and develop them. I felt listened to and supported every step of the way as I worked towards them. Her support helped me refocus and finally make time for the projects that matter most to me.”
— Laura, translator, Ettlingen.
Why work with me?I'm a professional coach and have been coaching since 2018.
I'm trained at an Edinburgh coaching school accredited by the International Coaching Federation, and I've also completed a certificate in Applied Psychology through UC Berkeley, studying the science of happiness.
My background is in creative and communication roles, and that influences the way I coach.
I'm curious about people, ideas and behaviour. I like asking questions, exploring possibilities and finding new ways of looking at things.
Most importantly, I believe you have agency in your life.
That doesn't mean everything is within your control. Life can be complicated, and sometimes circumstances genuinely limit our choices.
But there is usually something you can do.
My job is to help you find it.
What happens in your first session?
You don't need to prepare anything.
We'll start by talking about what's brought you to coaching and what's happening in your life right now.
We'll explore what you'd like to be different and what's getting in the way.
And we'll see where the conversation takes us.
You don't need to commit to months of coaching.
Your first session is also an opportunity to see whether we're a good fit.
Some people feel unblocked after one session.
Others want ongoing support while they work through a bigger change.
There's no fixed programme you have to commit to.

That's completely fine.
Figuring that out can be part of the coaching.
You can simply come with the feeling that something isn't right and we'll start from there.
-
You don't need any experience of coaching.
Think of your first session as a conversation with a purpose: a dedicated space to understand what's going on, explore what you want and start thinking about what could change.
-
It depends on what you're working on.
Some people find one session is enough to get unstuck. Many choose to have 6–10 sessions, while others continue for longer.
There's no fixed programme you have to sign up to.

No. Coaching and therapy are different.
Coaching generally focuses on where you are now, where you'd like to go and what can help you move forward.
If I think another type of support would be more appropriate for you, I'll tell you.

I offer coaching in Edinburgh from my coaching space in Bruntsfield.
We can also meet online, and for some sessions we can take the conversation outside for a walk.
-
That's something we can work on.
I won't tell you what decision to make. I'll help you explore your options, understand what matters to you and challenge the assumptions that might be influencing your thinking.
The aim is for you to make a decision that you can genuinely own.

“Amandine is a wonderful coach who guided me with great empathy and dedication. Warm and professional, she delivers on her promise: I came away feeling lighter, more optimistic, and re-energised, with renewed confidence in my project. I felt supported and encouraged, listened to, and genuinely heard.
For me, Amandine’s key strengths are her cheerful, sensitive, and sincere presence, which comes across from the very first exchanges; her focus on the positive, the beautiful, and what drives us forward; and the great care she brings to every session and every question, helping to move the work and the project forward.”
— Elodie, psychotherapist, Berlin.
