Professional and life coaching in Edinburgh and online
Design the life you want to live.
Taking the first steps towards your dream life can feel both daunting and exciting. Holding these two truths together, I can help you move forward in a way that feels aligned with who you are, your values, and the life you want to create.
Coaching nook in Bruntsfield.
“A space to grow, to learn how to shape your own life, and to be kind to yourself. A chance to discover your own strengths – something nobody else teaches you how to do.”
— Coraline, business owner, Hamburg.
A creative and challenging space to show up at your best
Unlocking your vision
It’s all in the details. Using a wide range of techniques, tools, and exercises (most importantly, ones you can connect with), I’ll help you visualise and achieve the life you’ve imagined: what does it look and feel like? That’s the key to moving forward.
Challenging yourself through daily habits
I used to think change was all about big decisions and dramatic shifts. There's an element of that. But what I've noticed more and more is that happiness and goals are reached through daily habits. I'll help you figure out what these could be.
Understanding why you’re not where you’d like to be
When our dreams have been hiding in the closet for so long, we can usually pinpoint why they haven’t come to life yet. But we tend to focus on the wrong things—“becoming an adult”, “that particularly bad relationship”… they’re valid reasons, but there’s usually something else blocking you. I can help you discover and unblock it.
Unpopular opinion: I really dislike most of the big-name American coaches who push or bully you into doing what they think is right for you. If you want to understand the basics of my approach, a good place to start is the code of ethics of the International Coaching Federation.
In simple terms, I believe in people’s agency, creativity, potential, and freedom. In my practice and elsewhere, I treat myself and others with respect and kindness.
Get support in a way that feels good for you
“Amandine is a warm and supportive coach who helped me achieve my goals, while providing insights into how to define and develop them. I felt listened to and supported every step of the way as I worked towards them. Her support helped me refocus and finally make time for the projects that matter most to me.”
— Laura, translator, Ettlingen.
Your first session and the coaching process
A first conversation where we explore what’s bringing you here, clarify your focus, and see how coaching can best support you moving forward. You leave with a clearer sense of direction and what you want to work on.
Exploring your vision and focus
First session
We dive into your dreams, bringing clarity to your vision and shaping a clear focus for our work together, while also beginning to understand what may have been holding you back.
After a few sessions, you start to notice a shift in direction in your life—new perspectives, a renewed sense of hope, and projects (old or new) beginning to take shape. People around you may also start to respond to this change in their own way. For some clients, this feels like enough for now; for others, it becomes the starting point for going further into their vision.
A partnership where you shape the outcome
A shift begins
We enter a supportive, productive loop where we explore your current situation, uncover patterns, and work with tailored questions, tools, and exercises to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Frequently asked questions
-
We’ll either meet at my home in Bruntsfield, where I have a dedicated coaching space, or in a café in Bruntsfield or Morningside.
If the weather is nice enough, we can also go for a walk in a park, as walking can help unblock thoughts and emotions.

Several clients have found that a single session was enough to unblock them and help them move forward with confidence. That's a beautiful thing to witness, but it usually happens when someone is facing a specific decision, has a clear deadline, and simply needs help finding their way through the confusion.
For most people, 6 to 10 sessions is a good starting point. It gives us the time to do deep, meaningful work and create lasting change.
Some clients want more support or are going through bigger transitions, and they may choose to continue for 12 sessions or more. If that's the case, I make sure our goals remain clear and aligned. I also regularly check whether I'm still the right person to support you. We don't want coaching to become a comfort zone: it should challenge you—in a thoughtful, careful, and supportive way.
If you think about it in your own life: how long does it take to create a small change? What about a big one? And then another change after that? There's no single timeline.
What I'll be checking throughout our work together is whether you're still moving along the path you want to take.

I'll be honest with you, I don't think this will happen.
I believe everyone has agency in their life, no matter their situation. If you come to see me and we decide we're a good fit, it means you're in the right mindset, and from there, change is possible.
Change can be hard, and it can challenge a lot of the beliefs you have about yourself and your environment. But it can be incredibly rewarding too. We'll make sure you're moving in a direction that feels fulfilling to you, so you're unlikely to feel like "it's not working".
That being said, you're always free to stop whenever you need to.
Want to ask a few things first?
That’s completely OK. Send me a message with anything you’d like to know.
“Amandine is a wonderful coach who guided me with great empathy and dedication. Warm and professional, she delivers on her promise: I came away feeling lighter, more optimistic, and re-energised, with renewed confidence in my project. I felt supported and encouraged, listened to, and genuinely heard.
For me, Amandine’s key strengths are her cheerful, sensitive, and sincere presence, which comes across from the very first exchanges; her focus on the positive, the beautiful, and what drives us forward; and the great care she brings to every session and every question, helping to move the work and the project forward.”

I am a trained, certified professional coach since 2018. I trained at a coaching school in Edinburgh accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
The ICF is one of the few professional bodies working to bring structure and standards to a coaching industry that is otherwise largely unregulated.
As with any profession, a qualification alone doesn’t make someone a good coach—but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Ultimately, the best indicator is whether your values align and whether the coaching relationship feels right for you. You also always have the freedom to leave at any time, and a good, ethical coach will support you in stepping away from a coaching relationship that isn’t working for you.
In 2020, I completed a certificate in Applied Psychology with the University of California, Berkeley (“The Science of Happiness”). This helped me better understand the connection between daily habits and wellbeing, and bring that insight more consciously into my work with clients.

I mostly coach women who feel ready for change in their lives, where their sense of wellbeing is closely tied to something in their external environment needing to shift. Often, they’re at a point where things no longer feel quite right, but the next step isn’t yet clear.
Some examples:
changing or leaving a job, but feeling unsure what comes next
wondering about moving abroad
feeling stuck in a role that looks “fine” on paper but doesn’t feel right
wanting to start a project or business, but struggling to move from idea to action
going through a life transition after a break-up
feeling they’ve given up on a childhood dream but don’t know the path back to it
wanting to build more confidence, clarity, or self-trust in decisions

Born and raised in France, I later lived in Berlin where I created a coaching club and launched several coaching programmes.
I freelanced for 12 years and now combine employment with my coaching practice.
I have a Master’s degree in Arts Management, although my career has taken a very different path since then.
I love my hometown of Nantes (France) and the people there, but I feel most at home in Edinburgh. This is where you’ll meet me if we work together in person.
I spent years reflecting on my relationships—friends, partners, family, colleagues—before realising how central my relationship with myself was to my wellbeing (I’m in a very different place now).
I love yin yoga and meditation, and I also enjoy weight training for a very different kind of energy.
I’m a night owl, but I’ve found routines that work with my natural rhythm and still support productive mornings in my own way.
I sing, write music, and I’m passionate about supporting clients to explore and pursue their creative dreams, if that’s part of what they want.
My favourite film is The Hours by Stephen Daldry, based on the novel by Michael Cunningham and inspired by Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Some people find it sad or too heavy, but for me it holds the right level of depth—it’s ultimately about freedom.
I’m a fan of small challenges and experiments in my personal life and will usually drag other people into them too: 30-day meditation challenges, year-long songwriting challenges… I like to test things, see what works, and adapt as I go. In a way, that same “test and learn” mindset is something I also try to instil in my clients.
